Up In The Air

The largest continent in the world is leading the satellite industry, and this position has been further solidified as China and South Korea host two of the largest regional conferences and exhibitions of the sector. 

Thousands of delegates from the industry are expected to converge at the Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing, from September 19 to 21, for the China Satellite Conference 2012, which will see industry leaders and key organizations network with equipment suppliers, operators, and Chinese policy makers.

The following week the South Korean capital, Seoul, will be host to the APSCC Conference & Exhibition, an annual event drawing both regional and international players in the satellite industry.

A special panel discussion entitled “Leading the Satellite Evolution” will be the highlight of the event, as leaders of various satellite operators talk about Asia’s position as the leader in collaboration initiatives with various operators. The emerging technologies, such as powerful Ka band satellites, and trends, like the growth of the DTH industry, will also be tackled in the forum.
